Kate Middleton, hypnotherapy and morning sickness

April 26, 2013

Well, when I come upon some celebrity who uses, or has used, hypnotherapy or EFT  then I just have to let you all know.

Here is an article written about Kate Middleton and the morning sickness she has suffered through some of her pregnancy. While her privacy has been well guarded during this time the media still want to get any little bits they can. This article is one such snippet of information.

Morning sickness is awful and usually finished by the end of the first three months, however that is a long time when you are throwing up every morning, and sometimes throughout the day, too. There’s the worry of eating, and the worry of not eating, and the baby needs nourishment but you don’t want to spend your life feeling like you don’t know when you’ll have to shoot off to collapse in the toilet.

In some cases morning sickness extends for more months, and requires intravenous feeding. Read the link…there is quite a bit of information there.

Well, here is 2013! Let’s get on track for success.

January 2, 2013

Our life is like a road. Think of it as a motorway with lots of side roads. Sometimes everything is going well and we are moving fast in the right direction. However, sometimes we get side tracked and end up on another road, and other times it seems like we are way off course, have hit a bumpy road, or even a road block

So, thinking of 2012, were you on a motorway? Was your journey planned or did it seem like a pretty aimless year?  For instance if you had plotted it into your Sat Nav are you in a better place now than where you were last January?

Let’s make 2013 even better. There will be many journeys this year and wouldn’t it be great if each one were taking you someplace exciting. Are you ready to put your foot to the floor for some adventure? And, thinking of yourself as that vehicle; are you a sleek racing car; or an older model with some rust, some dints, very little power, and perhaps no spare in the boot; or maybe you are a younger model that’s been a bit thrashed with the wrong fuel and little attention?

images-27It’s not much use expecting a great road ahead if the car hasn’t the power and resources to travel it!  Not forgetting that while a car can be easily replaced, your body can’t. You are stuck with it for your entire life.

You can, however, get it fixed.

Maybe you haven’t been firing on all cylinders and an energy tune up would help. That will make a huge difference immediately. Then you can learn to recharge your batteries with decent sleep. Things holding you back like smoking, frustration, stress, pain, guilt and anger can be found and freed. Fear, insecurity, anxiety and worries can be flushed away. Overweight, lethargy, lack of confidence, even depression, can also be cleared.

Let’s get rid of the blockages, the potholes and obstacles in the way. Let’s open and smooth your road ahead, let it become clearer, far easier to travel. Be open to new opportunities along the way. Success is within us all.

images-26Make 2013 a far better year, perhaps a brilliant year, starting with a decent ‘tune up’, an MOT, and then some help to programme your mind and body for success. Get yourself on the right road, then put your foot down, enjoy the scenery, and feel the wind through your hair.

Gentle, supportive, assistance to deal with all New Years Resolutions so you are free to have an amazing year.  In person or on Skype.

Fitness & weight loss programs: Do you sabotage your success?

November 7, 2012

It is now is the time to face a cold hard fact.

For everyone who starts any program or class there are those that don’t make the progress that others do. We know that everyone is different but what actually does make the winners succeed and stay on track? And, what is it that makes others fail, wander off onto other tracks, get lost, and never succeed.

Perhaps we can liken it to the Olympic athletes. What makes those who get selected better than those who don’t?  In most cases the answer is attitude; attitude to stay focused and to train despite all the things that could side-track them. It is difficult but they do it, and those that do it best get the medals.

So, I am going to ask you two easy questions about your attitude:

1. How much do you WANT to be slimmer or fitter, or whatever? If you want to you will be researching, finding the best way for you, putting it in place and doing it.

2. How much do you BELIEVE you can?  Now, this is a completely different question. This is a bit scary for those who have been on diets for years, and are now back to square one; scary too, for those who are still paying for an unused gym membership, or who ‘gave up’ last time. There can be a lot of doubt, such as, ‘What if I fail again?’

When we have doubt in our minds we make excuses, we try to avoid the situation, or blame other things if we fail; ‘They don’t do that class now’, ‘I am too busy’, ‘She cooked it so I couldn’t say no’. There are so many excuses people use to justify why they haven’t done something. In many cases they are in a repeat mental program that started years ago. Unconsciously they are sabotaging their own progress.

So, today I am suggesting that you get your priorities right. Improved fitness and health will make a huge difference to you, your work and your relationships with others. You deserve that! Use your drive and determination to be a winner.

And, if anyone even thinks of excuses, or finds themselves side-tracked, recognise it as a ‘self sabotaging belief blockage’ and deal with it now. I am very good at finding why unconscious blockages happen and freeing them.

If this rings true to you then it’s ok to contact me  for a confidential chat, in fact please do.

Driving test to pass

October 29, 2012

I like the variety of my work and recently had another 18 year old lad arrive with some frustration issues. At over 6 foot he reminded me just how quickly boys grow into young men and how they still have social and communication skills to learn. He was wanting to pass his driving test and, while perfectly capable, he was ‘losing it’ at the test every time. He had tried five times already.

So, what was it that was creating the anxiety and frustration? Everyone had told him he was a very capable driver, but he just wasn’t comfortable at the test. Firstly, the waiting unsettled him; everyone waiting for their turn. Then, having a non committal instructor sitting beside him with a sheet on a clipboard to mark bad points off, and finally the knowing at the end he had failed yet again. In fact he clearly remembered the instructors words at the end each time, and the places where he had failed.

I think that just having someone else to discuss this all with is helpful. For instance realising that the examiner is having another day at work and passing and failing is a part of that day. It is his job to make sure people he/she passes are competent on the roads. It is not their fault that the person fails. And, realising that the brain remembers many things good and bad, and will repeat them, allowed him to understand that the memories of past tests could be easily repeated. We needed to break the negative cycle and increase positive thoughts.

Now, I taught this lad some helpful calming techniques which he started using immediately in all sorts of situations so they could become ingrained. He started noticing he was being more open in the classroom, asking and answering questions. He caught himself singing at one point which made him feel like something nice was happening. Other small changes showed he was becoming more relaxed and confident.

At the third session we brought it altogether in a lovely hypnotherapy session. He used his calming techniques as we ran through some imaginary tests, including all the places he had previously lost points but this time doing the moves perfectly. He even got to see himself being told he had passed and feel the elation of that, followed by the thrill of being more independent, able to drive safely on his own.

The next day I received a text that he had passed. He noted he had used the techniques to help him feel calm and it had all worked. He was delighted. Well done!  Actually, a lot more was achieved than the successful driving test.

Here’s a winner in confidence

September 12, 2012

Amelia (name changed for confidentiality) came to me with confidence issues. She was a quiet 30 year old with few friends, living and working in London. She told me she wanted to stop panicking, be calm, and have the confidence to go out on her own socially and not feel afraid or threatened.

It all came down to numerous bad relationships. The first guy was fine until he started two-timing her. That ended in an argument and she was left feeling inadequate and not good enough. The next one had treated her badly, verbally telling her she was useless and periodically hitting her, depending on how his day had gone. It took a real nasty knock to finally get out of that relationship. She knew she should have left ages ago but she was so scared of what he might do and where she would go. She was too scared to tell her family, she was ashamed, and felt a failure. Well, after all hadn’t she been told constantly she was useless?  And now she felt intimidated by her line manager. She was feeling a victim and felt she was attracting the wrong sort of people.

Something, or someone, finally said she needed help. Thank goodness! She certainly didn’t want to continue down that route and end up at 40 in a worse mess. She told me she wanted the confidence to find a new job and some nice, good friends.

Now hypnotherapy with me is a gently relaxing process, especially after all the words and frustrations have come out. We balanced her energy field, refocused her, and instilled calm and comfort. The EFT dealt with the habitual victim-like responses, nicely breaking the negative cycle so she felt stronger. She had three, weekly consultations and when she came for a fourth 3 months later she was excited and animatedly told me how she has changed her job, now managing a team, loves the new incentives there, and is standing her ground.

She noted how full her diary is. With her two new girlfriends she visits a different posh restaurant on the first week of the month, takes in a show on the last week, and goes rock climbing weekly with all those fit guys!  I loved the way her eyes lit up. She has decided she wants to buy a flat so is looking into the possibility of sharing or downsizing to save for it. This was a new girl, stronger and loving her life.

Many people fumble along miserably for years and don’t do anything.  It is never too late!  Amelia took just 4 consultations to completely change. In my mind she’s a real winner. She recognised something needed to change and it was her. She did it and she’s winning, big time!

Update on hypnosis weight loss audios

July 18, 2012

Well, Miranda has lost a stone (14lbs) in the three weeks she has been listening. She told me that after listening to just two of the audios they have completely changed the way she eats and feels about food. L reported a natural increase in her exercising and gave a typical example of her new eating habits. Last week she wasn’t even interested in the doughnuts someone brought in at work whereas she would have had one or two previously. It was easy, she just didn’t have one, and she was ok with that.  A. says she is sleeping better, has cut back portion sizes hugely and absolutely believes she can do this. These girls have a lot to lose and I am right there for them.

Remember these hypnosis mp3’s have been on sale for barely four weeks, there are lots gone  and these are just a sample of the comments from people I have seen.

Some people are listening to each one for 2 weeks as they have the time and are really committed. Some are listening for the allocated one week each. Whatever, these audios will do their job. all you need to do is listen. If you want to know more look here.
